15th Trattlerhof Charity Wine & Golf Cup
in Carinthia, with a record donation for the SOS Children’s Village in Moosburg
A week of golf, enjoyment and commitment
Bad Kleinkirchheim, 15 June 2026 – The 15th Trattlerhof Charity Wine & Golf Cup, which took place from 12 to 14 June 2026, was a resounding success, raising the impressive sum of €9,000. Set against the picturesque Alpine backdrop of Carinthia, the event offered a unique combination of sporting challenges, culinary delights and social engagement in aid of SOS Children’s Village Moosburg, House 7.
The sporting highlight of the weekend was the charity tournament on Saturday 13 June, followed by a festive prize-giving ceremony at Trattler’s Einkehr.
A particular highlight of the week were the evening events featuring wine tastings on Friday and Saturday, at which fine wines from renowned Austrian estates, such as the Hudelist Winery (Carinthia), the Schloss Gobelsburg Winery (Lower Austria), Kirnbauer Winery (Burgenland) and Morandell Wine Merchants were presented and tasted. These exquisite wines were served in hand-blown glasses provided by golf sponsor Sophienwald, which perfectly rounded off the tasting experience. The culinary delights, prepared by the kitchen staff at the Hotel GUT Trattlerhof and the Trattlers Einkehr, harmonised perfectly with the wines and offered guests an unforgettable taste experience.
The highlight of the event was the wine and collectables auction, which was held in aid of the SOS Children’s Village in Moosburg. Thanks to the generosity of the participants and sponsors, a considerable sum of €9,000 was raised for this good cause. The donations raised will benefit the SOS Children’s Village in Moosburg, House 7, and will make a valuable contribution towards continuing to support its important work.
Martin Zernig, a member of the Supervisory Board of SOS Children’s Villages, attended the awards ceremony on Saturday evening and provided valuable insights into the organisation’s important work and its future.
Also in attendance were, amongst others, ski champion Franz Klammer, notary Mag. Dieter Wallner (SOS Children’s Villages), golf president Anita Fauland, Jasmin Gaggl (Kleine Zeitung), winemaker Michael Hudelist, winemaker Freddy Unterganschnigg, journalist Thomas Weidinger (Perfect Eagle), Markus Polessnig (Kärnten Werbung) and cosmetic surgeon Dr Werner Arthofer.
Particularly noteworthy was the participation of Hans Kipping: at 89 years of age, he was the oldest participant in the Charity Wine & Golf Cup and enriched the event with his experience and his palpable enjoyment of playing together.
