For 35 years, Golf in Austria has been working to make Austria known as a golf holiday destination and to efficiently market the services offered by the specialists for golf holidays in Austria.

And this is exactly what was celebrated from 4 October to 6 October with the Golf in Austria Marketing and Golf Days 🎉!

Exchanges with colleagues, new ideas and helping to shape the future of golf tourism marketing were just a few of the highlights. The importance of our joint presence was also at the forefront. We look forward to many more years in which we can prove together that "Together we are stronger than alone" is more than just a motto and that we can stand up for and promote golf tourism!

Our Golf in Austria marketing and golf days took place at the IMLAUER Hotel Schloss Pichlarn. The hotel has been a member of Golf in Austria for a year and delights its guests with a 5-star retreat with its own golf course, the Schloss Pichlarn Golf & Country Club.

Place of power. A place of longing. A retreat for connoisseurs. The IMLAUER Hotel Schloss Pichlarn has many names and impresses with its unique, secluded location overlooking the imposing Grimming massif. This extraordinary hotel, which has won many a heart in its 1000-year history, was an impressive venue for Golf in Austria.

To mark the "35 years of Golf in Austria" anniversary, our President Manfred Furtner presented two Awards of Merit for special services to golf tourism in Austria! 🏆

The Marketing Symposium began with inspiring words from Mr Georg Imlauer, Managing Director of the IMLAUER Hotel Schloss Pichlarn. He was particularly pleased that his hotel in Styria had joined Golf in Austria and warmly welcomed everyone to his hotel.

A captivating marketing symposium awaited the participants, led by 4 likeable speakers.

Klaus Nadizar started with his topic "Golf tourism - from golf holiday to custom-fit experience. What counts in the future" and inspired the audience.

Michael Althoff then shared exciting insights into the importance of the customer journey in the golf segment and how golf courses can optimise the customer experience.

Theresa Moosleitner brought a breath of fresh air to the symposium with her presentation on "Success in golf marketing: what's next in the digital age", including valuable tips and tricks for everyone.

Frank Adamowicz rounded off the symposium with his presentation "What makes a successful team?", leaving the audience with inspiring thoughts on the importance of a successful team.

A festive honour and award ceremony took place on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of Golf in Austria and those businesses that have been part of Golf in Austria for 35, 30 or 25 years were honoured.

The evening began with an exquisite wine tasting on the picturesque terrace, where we welcomed the renowned Polz winery. Guests were invited to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of Styrian wines while enjoying the view over the idyllic landscape.

The tasting was a harmonious prelude to the Styrian evening, where culinary delights and Styrian sounds took centre stage. The guests enjoyed an exquisite 4-course buffet that celebrated the culinary diversity of Styria - from hearty specialities to fine delicacies.

Afterwards, the guests socialised at the bar to round off the evening.

The Golf in Austria tournament was a handicap-based competition over 18 holes. All invited guests who were members of a recognised Austrian or international golf club and had a handicap of -45 or better were eligible to participate.

At this golf tournament, we had the honour of welcoming not only our member companies but also invited captains, winners of the "Race to Austria" series and cooperation partners.

We proudly presented our exclusive 'Golf in Austria' bag in a charming retro look as a lovely starter gift for all participating golfers.

Strengthened after a visit to the Segafredo coffee bar, the tournament started at 10.00 am.

After an exciting day on the golf course, full of ambition and passion, it was time to celebrate the brilliant performances and successes.

After the game, a delicious seasonal 3-course meal and an award ceremony with great prizes such as a Segafredo annual coffee supply, Austrian Kisterln, vouchers for the next golf holiday, a putter from EyeGolf and much more awaited everyone in Clubhouse 19.
