A taster session in golf in the Kaiserwinkl

Step into the world of golf with a pro by your side – you can do just that in the Tiroler Kaiserwinkl holiday region, which also offers a smorgasbord of activities ranging from e-bike and rafting tours to paragliding. On a taster course, you’ll discover whether golf will become the fascinating pastime that passionate players rave about. As well as exceptional accommodation in a protected raised bog area at the foot of the Kaiser Mountains, you can look forward to picturesque alpine pastures, rivers, waterfalls, gorges and the pleasantly warm Walchsee.

Day 1
Arrival

• Individual arrival and check-in at your stilt-house chalet or suite at the Golf und Sporthotel Moarhof in Schwaigs, on the edge of the Schwemm Nature Reserve.
• Today’s programme features an exploratory tour of the nature reserve: a bog expert will guide you through one of North Tyrol’s largest contiguous bog areas and help you discover the many rare animal and plant species.

Day 2 to Day 5

• On Monday morning, your introductory golf course begins. Leonhard Astl, a member of the Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA) and the owner’s son, will show you how to hit the ball properly at his golf academy in the Moarhof Golf Resort. From today, two lessons a day are scheduled. With the support of your qualified golf coach, you’ll learn the practical and theoretical basics of the sport and earn your course proficiency certificate – your personal golf certificate.
• Before and after the golf lessons, there’s plenty of time to relax. Enjoy the private swimming pond or the resort’s wellness facilities!
• Go on an e-bike ride to explore the beautiful countryside of the Kaiserwinkl holiday region.
• A worthwhile destination is the Burgeralm alpine cheese dairy, where, alongside a magnificent mountain panorama, a snack and a glass of alpine schnapps await you.

Optional activities

• 3-hour rafting tour in the Entenlochklamm gorge between Kössen and Schleching (daily, by prior booking; €45 per person)
• 70-minute hot-air balloon ride over the Tyrolean mountains (€280 per person)
• Tandem flight with the Kössen Flight School (€150)
• Tour of a fruit distillery including schnapps tasting (€19)
• Mountain walks to rustic alpine pastures and the most beautiful views of the Tyrolean mountains, tailored to your preferences whether you’re a keen hiker or a leisurely walker
