Captains trip to the Diamond Country Club golf resort in Atzenbrugg and the GC Ottenstein
From 8 - 10 April 2022, 8 captains and 6 accompanying persons were guests at the Diamond Country Club golf resort in Lower Austria to see for themselves the excellent conditions for golfers and the varied golf courses.
We were warmly welcomed by hotel manager Isabella Hartmann and club manager Stefan Vogl with an aperitif and delicious canapés. Many of the participants then took the opportunity to play and familiarise themselves with the 12-hole country course and the 9-hole park course, while the others attempted to conquer the 18-hole championship course.
On Saturday, all participants then played the championship course, which was even more difficult than usual in cool temperatures and gale-force winds and was a real challenge. And then we were joined by a pro on the driving range, who helped the golfers individually to improve their scores with quick fixes.

The beautiful flats right next to the golf course and the culinary delights we enjoyed at dinner in the clubhouse and in the boat house were only surpassed by the warmth and friendliness of all the staff at the golf resort. Thank you very much for this, you are perfect hosts and have done the best advertising for your resort!
But we still had the Sunday round of golf at GC Ottenstein ahead of us. This hilly, wonderful course in the Waldviertel is also a Leading Golf Course and belongs to the Diamond Group. And true to the motto "April, April, it does what it wants", our round of golf was alternately accompanied by blue skies and sunshine and then snow flurries, storms and sleet showers.
It was the perfect, eventful end to a fantastic weekend that the participants will be talking about for a long time to come.
We were also well looked after by the club manager and the Hettegger catering family and team at GC Ottenstein and felt very comfortable.
To summarise, the Diamond Country Club golf resort is a destination that is absolutely recommendable and where you must have played!
And finally, special thanks to the Guzy family, who run the club, for their generous invitation - and good luck for the future.
