Before I finally give all the teaching pros a hard time, I have to answer this question with a definite yes. Without a solid technique and a basic knowledge of the golf swing, it is difficult to learn this sport. BUT: Too much technique and knowledge is just as counterproductive as too little. In particular, striving for the perfectly executed golf swing is questionable.
