The poor weather forecast put many golfers off, but the brave souls who did turn up were, as is so often the case, rewarded with much better weather, and the back nine was even played without a single drop of rain.
So the players were still able to enjoy a lovely, relaxed day’s golf, tucking into refreshments at our traditional halfway house, and even enjoying the odd glass of wine or apricot schnapps.
The highlight: the evening event with the prize-giving ceremony
As always, the highlight of the tournament was the evening event, featuring the prize-giving ceremony and a raffle. Leni Gasser from the Hotel Bräurup and the GC Nationalpark Hohe Tauern (both in Mittersill) were extremely generous, sponsoring accommodation and green fee vouchers, much to the delight of the prize-winners and lucky draw winners.
