Upper Austria's golf courses

28 pitches in varied surroundings

The 28 golf courses in Upper Austria are often more focussed on members than on holiday guests. Nevertheless, there are some excellent courses among them, including the two Leading Golf Courses at Mondsee and in Linz St. Florian.

Smaller, charming hotels with adjoining golf courses also enrich the offer - even if they do not currently specialise in golfing guests as part of our quality association. As soon as we are able to recommend one of these resorts as a specialist for golf holidays in Austria, we will be happy to present it to you in detail here.
Until then, we recommend the nearby Gut Altentann (a Jack Nicklaus design course and venue of the Austrian Alpine Open 2025) and Salzburg-Eugendorf golf courses, which are well developed for tourism.

Our hosts at the Golf in Austria Hotel in Mondsee will be happy to advise you on site about other golf courses in the region.

Austrian Empire

In the footsteps of Emperor Franz Joseph and his Sisi

The former summer residence of Emperor Franz Joseph I and Empress Elisabeth (Sisi) of Austria is located in the small spa town of Bad Ischl at 468 metres above sea level in the Salzkammergut. The villa, which is well worth seeing, is surrounded by an English park, which is characterised by a white marble fountain. The villa and park can be visited in the summer months.
