IMLAUER Hotel Schloss Pichlarn: on the way to Europe's golf elite with investments and innovations

On the weekend of 5 and 6 September 2025, the team at IMLAUER Hotel Schloss Pichlarn presented the latest milestones in its golf development. Georg and Ingrid Imlauer, General Manager Ines Wohlmuther-Maier and Golf Manager Christian Seiringer were delighted to welcome numerous guests. Media representatives, personalities from politics and business as well as golf enthusiasts accepted the Imlauer family's invitation to witness the progress of the golf resort.

On Friday, as part of the "President's Prize" tournament, the traditional final tournament of the Pichlarn Autumn Golf Week, the application for admission to the "Leading Courses" was officially handed over to President Rudi Horn - an important step on the way to joining the European golf elite.

On Saturday, guests were treated to the grand opening of the new TrackMan Range in glorious late summer weather. The Imlauer family invested around EUR 3 million in the redesign of the golf course. Together with Olazabal Design, a comprehensive modernisation of the 18-hole course was implemented in 2024. Particularly noteworthy are the completely renovated driving range & practice area with state-of-the-art TrackMan boxes, new chipping and putting greens, an additional storage pond for sustainable irrigation and the spectacular new Signature Hole 5 with panoramic views of the castle and Grimming.

The result is a unique ensemble in Austria: the combination of a 5-star resort with 110 rooms, a variety of places to savour with award-winning cuisine and an 18-hole golf course that is developing into one of the best in the country. "Our aim is to become one of the leading golf resorts in Austria and to be one of the top 20 courses in Europe," says Georg Imlauer.

Social commitment was not neglected either: at the charity competition in favour of Lebenshilfe Ennstal, which has been looking after the greenhouse in Pichlarn since spring 2025, over EUR 700 was collected through symbolic tee-offs. The Imlauer family generously rounded up the amount to EUR 2,000.

The "Golf Unlimited" package is currently particularly attractive for hotel guests: In September 2025, guests staying 5 nights or more will enjoy unlimited green fees on the hotel's own 18-hole course - and from October onwards, guests staying as little as 3 nights.

IMLAUER Hotel Schloss Pichlarn is setting new standards with its investments, innovative strength and genuine hospitality - and confirming its ambition to join the premier league of European golf destinations.
