Every year, around St Lawrence’s Night on 10 August, the Earth passes through the Perseid meteor shower, and hundreds of shooting stars streak across the sky.

So the people of Lech have come up with something special for the Saturday closest to this date each year:

You take the Rüfikopf cable car up to the ‘Panorama Mountain’ of the golf region at 2,350 metres above sea level. Up here, a 360° viewing platform opens up to reveal the entire Arlberg region and the vast, clear starry sky. At the Rüfikopf Panorama Restaurant, a welcome glass of sparkling wine and a fondue dinner with a shot of schnapps await you. This is followed by a guided tour led by astrophysicist Dr Robert Seeberger. If you’re hoping for plenty of birdies and spot a shooting star whilst you’re at it, you can try your luck on the golf course the very next day. Only the stars know if it’ll work! Either way, you’ll be left with unforgettable memories of the high mountains up close at night and the clear starry sky.
