The Montafon valley – an Alpine valley in Austria’s westernmost province – is the perfect place to explore nature and enjoy wonderful moments on and off the green.
The Montafon GC is the oldest golf facility in Vorarlberg. The beautiful golf course is surprisingly flat and yet blends wonderfully with one of the most famous valleys in the Alps, offering magnificent views of the rugged summits surrounding it. The Montafon GC is famous for its friendly atmosphere and the club house serves excellent cuisine. With its special children’s tees, the course is ideal for a relaxed golfing vacation with the whole family. Challenging fairways include the 7th fairway, where you have to carry the ball over a flowering meadow (with a water hazard behind it) and the 8th fairway, the longest par 5 in Western Austria at 542 metres from the yellow tee boxes.

The landscape
The wonderful landscape of the 39-km-long valley offers much space for sports and spare-time activities. Hiking, trekking and rock climbing are great ways for active and athletic vacationers to explore the south of Vorarlberg: The characteristic limestone rocks of the Rätikon mountain range to the northwest, the crystalline rocks of the partly glaciated Silvretta Alps to the south and the Verwall Group in the Central Alps to the northeast create the perfect setting.
