4 over after 5 holes – here’s how to salvage your round
Four over par after five holes? It’s not your swing that matters now, but how you react to this poor start. In this video, I’ll show you how to stop a few lost strokes from turning into a completely ruined round of golf.
After a ball in the water, a three-putt or a double bogey, you can quickly feel the urge to make up those lost strokes straight away. It is precisely this compulsion to catch up that often leads to poor club selection, unnecessarily risky targets and further mistakes.
You’ll learn how to make clear decisions again after a poor start and why a single question can stabilise your round:
‘Would I choose this shot if I were on even par?’
It’s not about suddenly playing defensively or timidly. It’s about not letting your frustration dictate your next shot. Because you don’t salvage your round by forcibly correcting your score. You salvage it by making sensible decisions again.
📚 MY BOOKS
“Golf – A Mirror of Life”
Golf shows us particularly clearly how we deal with mistakes, pressure, expectations and difficult situations.
“Never Give Up Again – Unlock Your Perseverance”
Perseverance doesn’t mean forcing a result. It means remaining capable of taking action even after setbacks and carrying on more wisely.
