Race to KitzbĂŒhel Final đ
A fantastic atmosphere at the âRace to KitzbĂŒhel 2025â final event!
Just under 50 guests from near (Bavaria, Austria) and far (Baden-WĂŒrttemberg and Switzerland) were in attendance and made this yearâs âRace to KitzbĂŒhelâ final an unforgettable experience!
The lovely weather on the day of arrival and the 9-hole warm-up round at the wonderful GC KitzbĂŒhel-Kaps got the participants in the mood for the days ahead and left them wanting more. In the evening, the official welcome took place on the terrace of the Schweizerhof hotel, followed by a shuttle bus ride to a traditional mountain hut evening. The two musicians really got the party going, whilst the excellent food and a few alcoholic drinks ensured a convivial and fun-filled evening đ.
The following day, the action continued from 09:00 at the GC KitzbĂŒhel-Schwarzsee-Reith with a Stableford tournament. A particular highlight â given that next year, from 28â31 May, the âAustrian Alpine Open on the DP World Tourâ will take place on this course. This gave the guests a chance to get a feel for the fairways and the renovation work. As the morning was rather cool and mostly rainy, and the tournament wasnât handicap-counting anyway, the round was reduced to 9 holes. After refreshments at the halfway point, players could decide whether to play the back nine or opt for a relaxing afternoon of wellness at the hotel.
In the evening, all players were treated to a delicious autumnal meal and drinks, and the dayâs top performers were celebrated at the prize-giving ceremony. Flo Bauer from Sky-Golf was âflown in especiallyâ â having commentated on the dramatic Ryder Cup in New York on television just two days earlier. He shared a few behind-the-scenes stories and answered the participantsâ questions â a very engaging appearance and a real treat!
To round off the day, everyone headed to the spectacular, challenging 18-hole course at GC Eichenheim. In sunshine and pleasant temperatures, the participants were able to really enjoy their round; the snow-capped mountains of the Hohe Tauern and the cloud-shrouded Wilde Kaiser in the background proved popular photo opportunities. After their round, the players enjoyed refreshments on the terrace before setting off contentedly on their journey home.
