Between holes 11 and 12, you swap the fairway for a gondola and step straight onto a golf course of a very special kind. Instead of a golf buggy or a walk, you glide over the alpine landscape – with views of the mountains, the fairways and that special blend of tranquillity and vastness that makes the course so unique.
Once at the top, your perspective changes instantly. The Dachstein massif seems even closer, the air even clearer, and the next hole is spectacularly nestled within the landscape. It is precisely here that you realise why the Radstadt golf course is more than just a round of golf: it is an alpine experience with character.
Of course, the course also has plenty to offer from a sporting perspective. Spacious fairways, clever changes in elevation and a design that calls for strategy but never disrupts the flow of the game make every hole varied. Sometimes relaxed, sometimes challenging, but always with panoramic views behind you.
