Why golf isn’t fun anymore
You head to the golf course, hoping to play a good round – and yet golf no longer feels as carefree as it used to. Suddenly, every tee shot carries too much weight. Every short putt becomes a test. Every score feels like a judgement on whether you’re good enough.
This is exactly where many golfers lose their enjoyment of the game. Not because they no longer like golf, but because at some point, golf turns from a game into a performance to be judged.
In this video, I’ll show you why your score can rob you of that sense of ease, why many golfers play significantly worse on the course than on the driving range – and why the crucial factor is often not technique, but inner freedom.
You’ll learn how to play with greater clarity again, why process, presence and reaction are more important than constantly focusing on the result, and how to approach your next round not as a test, but as a game once more.
If you find that golf sometimes takes on too much significance for you, then this video is for you.
These are precisely the areas we’ll be working on during the 2026 Golf Performance Weekends in Westendorf: right out on the course, in real playing situations, under real pressure, with clear routines, better decision-making and more composed reactions after mistakes.
