Modern cable cars take you to an altitude of 3000 metres above sea level, where you can enjoy a panoramic view from Salzburg’s highest observation deck. At the Cinema 3.000 you can watch an award-winning film about nature and learn more about Austria’s highest mountains, especially the 3798-metre-high Großglockner. And the Ice Arena offers fun in the summer snow!

Lake Zell
Where else can you swim in a crystal clear lake with a view of snow-topped mountains? Despite its Alpine location, Lake Zell reaches pleasant water temperatures of about 23°C in summer.
Even though the golf hotels presented here all have private access to the lake, we also recommend exploring the three beautiful public bathing areas on Lake Zell and the many water sports options they offer: standup paddleboarding, sailing, (kite) surfing, diving or a nostalgic cruise on the lake.

Water adventures
Zell am See is a health resort that is famous not only for its air quality, but also for its crystal clear waters.
The Krimml Waterfalls are nearby and you can also take exciting hikes to wild and romantic gorges with thundering mountain brooks, such as the Kitzlochklamm, Vorderkaserklamm and Seinbergklamm gorges. The Sigmund Thun Klamm, another gorge, is illuminated spectacularly on Friday nights. Many colourful spotlights give the rocks and the water in the gorge an even more magical appearance than during the day. There are also very many great opportunities for rafting and canyoning in the area.

Zeller Seezauber spectacle
Taking a stroll through the beautiful historic centre of the town with its mediaeval Vogtturm Tower and its many charming cafés, bars and restaurants will be yet another highlight of your golfing vacation in Zell am See. Every Tuesday and Thursday from 6 July, a spectacular water, light, music and laser show is held on the shore of Lake Zell, adding a special magic to the place.
