Golf Herz Tirol

Innsbruck, Seefeld, Mieming

This golf region in the western part of Tyrol offers seven golf courses with a total of 90 holes within a radius of 40 km, including challenging championship courses as well as golf courses suitable for beginners and even one of Austria’s very few pay-and-play facilities. What all these golf courses have in common are their spectacular views of the Tyrolean mountains. Below we will describe the individual areas in the golf region in greater detail:

The Mieminger Plateau golf region…
... is a sunny plateau with vast meadows and fields, bordering on the steep rocks of the Mieming Range to the north. The Golfpark Mieminger Plateau comprises an 18-hole championship course (par 73), a 9-hole parkland course (par 58) and a wonderful golf academy. These golf courses are among the first to open the golfing season in Tyrol in March – thanks to their sunny and sheltered location. The quiet setting of the golf courses in a huge pine tree forest, a restful halfway break at the Stöttlalm lodge and the excellent golf-related services offered by our golf hotels in Mieming, which are without a doubt among the best golf hotels in Austria, will make your golfing vacation even more relaxing.

Golfing in Innsbruck …
... offers a choice between pay and play on the 9 holes of the Olympia Golf Igls course or traditional golf on the courses of the Innsbruck-Igls GC: 9 holes in Lans and 18 holes at the Innsbruck Rinn GC. Lans is something like a golfing insider tip in the Innsbruck area. The parkland course boasts idyllic holes between fir trees, deciduous trees and fruit trees and a comfortable lounge at the modern club house. Rinn offers 18 very challenging holes on the slopes of the Glungezer mountain. This golf course is anything but flat, but the views of the Wetterstein, Karwendel and Wilder Kaiser mountain ranges are simply sublime.

The Seefeld golf region …
... comprises another two golf courses: the 9-hole Seefeld-Reith GC offers relaxed rounds of golf with great panoramic views in the heart of Seefeld. You can walk from the golf hotel to the course. Perfect for a relaxed golfing vacation!
The 18-hole Seefeld-Wildmoos GC is one of the “Leading Golf Courses of Austria” and a true golfing gem. More than 50 years ago, this very special golf facility was built in a nature recreation area at 1300 metres above sea level. The operators work hard to maintain the course in an excellent condition while protecting the unique natural landscape that surrounds it. Soon, the golf club will start selling its own forest honey!

Facts why you should choose a golf vacation in the region Golf Herz Tirol

and why the Golf Herz Tirol region is worth a golf vacation

A wonderful golfing vacation is not just about beautiful golf courses and great golf resorts. It’s the “little things” that can make all the difference. Below you will find a list of further criteria to help you make your decision. Is there anything else you require for a blissful golfing vacation?

1

Swimming lakes

in the Seefeld region

The Lottensee and Wildmoossee swimming lakes are natural phenomena that appear aperiodically: Sometimes they are there and provide wonderful opportunities for swimming, at other times they withdraw below the surface. It is hard to predict when they will appear and how far they will extend. Local farmers have a saying that goes “Much snow, much lake”. Once the snow melts, the water inflow increases the pressure in the subterranean karst system, which brings the water to the surface. If you are lucky enough to be there when that happens, you should definitely go for a refreshing swim and enjoy the wonderful landscape around the lakes.

The Möserer See is a more reliable natural swimming lake at 1295 metres above sea level. Its water temperature reaches 25°C in summer. Even outside the swimming season, its quiet and romantic forest location makes it a popular destination for excursions. The many benches on its shore provide great opportunities for a picnic.
