Long season thanks to mild climate

Due to its location south of the main Alpine ridge, golfers in Carinthia benefit from a warm, stable climate with many hours of sunshine. In the very south, golf is often played throughout the winter. Otherwise, the season often starts in March or early April at the latest and lasts until November. The combination of bathing holidays at the Carinthian lakes and excursions into the mountains makes a golf holiday here particularly varied.

Alpine view & Adriatic flair

Two worlds in one golf holiday

A golf holiday in Carinthia combines alpine freshness with a southern lifestyle. Those holidaying in Bad Kleinkirchheim or at Lake Millstatt experience both sides: The alpine golf course in Bad Kleinkirchheim is located at around 1,100 metres above sea level and offers pleasantly shaded fairways even on hot days. Lake Millstätter See, whose golf course of the same name offers fantastic views of the water and mountains, is just 20 minutes away.
The hotels on Lake Millstätter See impress with their Mediterranean flair and relaxed Dolce Vita atmosphere. In Bad Kleinkirchheim you can enjoy the freshness of the mountains - perhaps at a campfire evening, with fresh mountain trout or home-gathered chanterelles.
