Golf holidays in Styria

Between the Dachstein Glacier, Ennstal and Grimming

Styria - the "Green Heart of Austria" - is a paradise for anyone who wants to combine golf, enjoyment and nature. Whether in the Alps or in the rolling hills in the south: a golf holiday in Styria means variety, enjoyment of the landscape and culinary highlights.
From lush green fairways and healing thermal waters to crystal-clear lakes and regional specialities such as pumpkin seed oil, Sauvignon Blanc and Schilcher - here, every tee shot is enhanced by the surroundings.

Golf is played all year round in Styria: While the alpine courses in the Enns Valley offer a season from April to November, golf can often be played all year round in the south and east.

The best golf courses in the Enns Valley

Golfers will find some of the most impressive courses in the country in the Styrian Enns Valley:
The Leading Golf Course Schladming-Dachstein, designed by Bernhard Langer, is considered a showcase example of design, maintenance and location. Its nickname "Pebble Beach of the Alps" is no coincidence. The offer is complemented by the Radstadt Golf Club in SalzburgerLand, just a few kilometres away - including a spectacular golf gondola lift - as well as the traditional Schloss Pichlarn Golf Club right next to the hotel of the same name. Anyone who plays here is guaranteed to leave with lasting memories.

Other golf regions in Styria

Southern Styria, Thermenland & Graz - potential for more

Southern Styria, Thermen- und Vulkanland and the area around Graz are also home to numerous beautiful golf courses - nestled in vineyards and rolling hills.

Many hotels in these regions are relatively small or busy with other holiday themes, such as wine tours, thermal spa days or cycling tours. All the more reason for us to look forward to the day when more hosts specialise in golfing guests and become part of Golf in Austria.
Until then, we will keep you up to date here!

On a golf trip through Styria, the panorama changes from gigantic mountain giants to gently undulating chains of hills, the air from the fresh alpine breeze to almost Mediterranean flair, the "supporting programme" from untouched natural enjoyment to a cultural experience.

The Styrian golf courses themselves provide sporting challenges along hilly courses, manicured fairways, demanding water hazards and fast greens.

Like the Murinsel, the Kunsthaus Graz was built as part of the Capital of Culture year 2003. The blue bubble blends skilfully into the city structure and is also the museum for contemporary art.
