How should I reach?

There are many ways to grip a golf club that work. Even a super pro like Bernhard Langer does not grip the club optimally according to pure theory. He has always had a strong grip (hook grip) and has to compensate for this with his body during the swing. There are basically three ways to grip the club! A poor grip (in the sense of one that is unsuitable for you) can place great demands on your coordination. Don't make your life unnecessarily difficult and listen to the video now.
