Every year around the feast of St. Lawrence (10 August), the earth passes through the Perseids meteor shower and hundreds of shooting stars are visible in the sky at night.
To honour this spectacle, Lech organises an annual event on the Saturday closest to the date:
Visitors can take a cable car to the Rüfikopf “panorama mountain”, which boasts a 360-degree observation deck at 2350 metres above sea level with a view of the entire Arlberg region and the wide and clear nocturnal skies. The trip includes a welcome drink, a fondue dinner and a shot of schnapps at the Panoramarestaurant Rüfikopf, followed by a guided tour presented by astrophysicist Dr. Robert Seeberger. If you see a shooting star and wish for many birdies, you can try your luck on the golf course the next day. It’s all written in the stars! At any rate, you will leave with an unforgettable memory of a night on the mountain under a clear, starry sky.

From early June to late September, a summer music festival takes place in the mountains of Lech. Visitors can enjoy musical highlights in three different locations in the mountain scenery of Lech Zürs. Concerts are held on the terraces of various restaurants each Sunday and there are performances on the festival’s open-air stages on three weekends.
