Race to Kaiserwinkl Final 2026
24–27 September 2026
70 participants, glorious sunshine and a fantastic atmosphere: From 24 to 27 September 2026, Kaiserwinkl became a meeting place for golf enthusiasts. The programme for the grand Race to Kaiserwinkl final featured varied rounds of golf, regional culinary delights and genuine Tyrolean hospitality.
The tournament series had already been launched the previous year. The Kaiserwinkl sponsored several qualifying tournaments, including events in Hamburg and Berlin. The 38th-placed net winner in each tournament secured their place in the final and could look forward to a stay of several days in the golf region

Golf in the Kaiserwinkl: short distances, great variety
One of the region’s great strengths became apparent as soon as we arrived:
There are four golf courses within a radius of just 14 kilometres. With the Kaiserwinkl Golf Kössen-Lärchenhof course, the GC Reit im Winkl – Kössen and Walchsee-Moarhof Golf Club – three of these are located right here in the region. Thanks to partnerships with the Lärchenhof Golf and Country Club, the range of options on offer is even greater.
On Thursday and Friday, there was plenty of time for rounds of golf at our leisure, before the golf course was swapped for a rustic mountain hut atmosphere on Friday evening.
Tyrolean mountain hut evening & grand finale
At the Burgeralm, regional delicacies, music and a cosy mountain hut atmosphere awaited us. It is precisely this blend of golf and indulgence that makes the Kaiserwinkl such a special holiday destination.
Finally, on Saturday came the highlight: the closing tournament at the Reit im Winkl Golf Club. – In Kössen, 70 participants teed off for an 18-hole round in Stableford format.
In glorious sunshine and perfect conditions, the players competed for the coveted places. Refreshments at the halfway point on hole 9 provided the necessary sustenance.
In the evening, the successful day’s tournament was celebrated with a champagne reception and gala evening at the Peternhof-Alm. As well as the prize-giving, there was plenty of time for good food, lively conversation and a convivial finale against the backdrop of the mountains.

A golfing holiday with a Tyrolean flair
A final round of golf on Sunday rounded off the event. Four days that showcased what makes a golf holiday in the Kaiserwinkl so special: short distances to a variety of golf courses, personalised golf hotels, regional cuisine and around 30 mountain huts for enjoyable breaks in the mountains.
And for those looking for even more variety, the golf courses around Kitzbühel, Ellmau and Westendorf are also just a short drive away.
We hope that all participants have taken home many wonderful memories from the Kaiserwinkl – and are perhaps already planning their next round of golf in Tyrol. Golf in Austria will be happy to help you with your planning and work with you to find the right golf courses, hotels and offers for your next golf holiday in Tyrol.
