Too many thoughts about your swing? Here’s how to clear your head
No sooner has a golf shot gone wrong than the next correction begins: turn more, keep your head down, swing more slowly. But what’s going through your mind as you play the next ball?
In this video, I’ll show you how to set yourself a clear objective for your shot and how to get back on track after a mistake.
With a simple ten-ball exercise, you’ll learn to assess two things separately: where did the ball go? And how consistently did I stick to my chosen objective?
It becomes particularly revealing after the first missed shot. That’s exactly when it becomes clear whether you stick to your decision or start gathering additional thoughts about your swing again.
PERSONALISED GOLF PERFORMANCE COACHING
You know, in principle, what you’re capable of – but out on the course, do you find yourself overthinking things time and again? After a mistake, do you lose confidence and try to fix your swing whilst you’re still playing?
We’ll work on these recurring situations in my personalised golf performance coaching. Together, we’ll develop suitable routines for your pre-shot preparation, clear decision-making and how to deal with mistakes.
In a free, 30-minute performance consultation, we’ll look at your current situation: when does your game become shaky? What patterns are repeating themselves? And what’s the next sensible step for you?
We’ll also clarify whether working together one-to-one is the right approach for your needs.
