Why your practice swing works – but your golf swing doesn’t
Your practice swing feels relaxed, fluid and natural. Then you step up to the ball – and suddenly your movement becomes restricted, controlled or frantic. Why does the swing work without the ball, but not when you’re actually hitting the ball?
In this video, I’ll show you what changes the moment the result matters. The ball doesn’t automatically alter your technique. It often changes your focus: instead of swinging freely towards the target, you try to hit the ball, avoid a mistake or control a perfect movement.
You’ll learn why thinking too much about your swing often makes this problem worse, and how you can better transfer the quality of your practice swing into the actual shot. To help with this, you’ll get a simple three-step routine that you can apply straight away on the driving range and out on the course.
💬 What changes for you as soon as the ball is in front of you: tempo, tension, rhythm or confidence? Let me know in the comments.
