The flat golf courses in Vorarlberg

Golf in Vorarlberg isn’t just about alpine golfing pleasure. That’s certainly on offer too. But the modern 18-hole course at Golfpark Montfort-Rankweil offers gently undulating, yet otherwise completely flat, golfing pleasure in the Rhine Valley. Uneven ground poses no difficulties here. However, the odd water hazard or two may cause a momentary headache. A particular highlight at the Montfort-Rankweil Golf Park is the modern clubhouse with its stunning public restaurant terrace.
The Montafon Golf Club also offers a surprisingly flat course set against the backdrop of the imposing high-mountain peaks. Incidentally, this course – the oldest in Vorarlberg – is also home to the longest hole in the Vorarlberg golfing region, measuring 542 metres (from the yellow tees).

Alpine golfing delights in Vorarlberg

Although there are some flat golf courses in Vorarlberg – a golfing paradise – for the most part, your golfing holiday here will be all about courses that have been integrated into the Alpine landscape as if they’d always been there.

At the Alpin Golf Brand Golf Club, for example, T-shirts are sold bearing the slogans ‘Anyone can play on flat courses!’ and ‘Flat courses are for everyone!’. On this particular course, the rule is: if you stay on the fairway, you’ll have no problems. And anyone playing at Alpin Golf Brand, Bludenz Braz Golf Club or Lech-Arlberg Golf Club who has only their own score on their mind is missing the point: spectacular Alpine landscapes and natural wonders as far as the eye can see!

At the Alpin Golf Brand course, there are three golf hotels situated right next to the course. The Valavier Aktivresort and the Golfhotel Sarotla literally have the golf course on their doorstep.
