Which Tyrolean golf region suits your golf holiday?

Tirol offers an impressive variety of golf regions - from sophisticated to natural, from flat to hilly. Each region has its very own charm. But which one is best suited to your golf holiday? Here you will find a brief guide:

By golf course character: flat or sporty?
If you love flat golf courses with panoramic views, Achensee, Zillertal, Westendorf, Wilder Kaiser or East Tyrol are ideal destinations.
If you are looking for a challenge with differences in altitude, Seefeld, Kitzbühel or Kaiserwinkl are the places for you.

By style & atmosphere: sophisticated or relaxed?
Kitzbühel and Seefeld impress with a mix of Alpine charm, lifestyle and high-society flair. Shopping, nightlife, events and central golf hotels provide variety - including opportunities to retreat to the wellness area.
Those who prefer a quieter pace will find real relaxation in East Tyrol, Westendorf, on Lake Achensee or in Kaiserwinkl: nature, wellness and slowing down take centre stage here - without having to compromise on enjoyment or leisure fun.

After nature experience & leisure activities
Whether it's the panoramic views of Lake Achensee, the Wilder Kaiser silhouette, the Nordkette cliffs, alpine valleys in East Tyrol or idyllic lakes: Tyrol is a paradise for nature lovers.
Tip: Ask your golf hotel in Tyrol for the best excursion tips - many of them are real insider tips!

Each golf course in Tyrol offers a unique, highly individual experience. All the Tyrolean golf clubs that we present to you here - at the specialists for golf holidays in Austria - place the highest value on the care of their golf course and a warm welcome for golfing guests.

Leading Golf and sustainable landscape conservation

The Seefeld-Wildmoos Golf Club, Tyrol's highest golf course (at 1,300 metres above sea level), has been strongly committed to a sustainable approach to the natural landscape entrusted to it for several years.

At this unique Tyrolean golf course, we are always amazed by the beautiful meadows away from the fairways and the impressive alpine landscape of the Wildmoos nature reserve. It's great how the team at Seefeld-Wildmoos Golf Club combines the values of the Leading Golf Courses with service quality, course maintenance and a love of nature. Kitzbühel, the Tyrolean golf centre of the Alps

Four Kitzbühel golf courses are located directly in the town centre. All four Kitzbühel golf courses can be described as legendary. The oldest, the Kitzbühel-Kaps Golf Club - founded in 1959 - is "only" a 9-hole golf course, but it is absolutely worth playing at least twice! We can only warmly recommend a break in the impressive clubhouse with a view of the 8th and 9th fairways of this traditional Tyrolean golf club. The 9-hole Rasmushof course is also legendary, especially because of the famous Streif downhill run, which finishes here every winter. The two 18-hole golf courses Kitzbühel-Schwarzsee and Eichenheim are well known and offer an alpine golfing experience, dream views and many sporting challenges.

Golf holiday in the footsteps of the mountain doctor

On the 27 holes of the Wilder Kaiser Ellmau Golf Club and from the terraces and pools of its partner hotels, you have a direct view of the Wilder Kaiser mountain massif.

This is probably one of the most famous views in our golf regions. If you want to discover the Bergdoktor filming locations yourself after your round of golf, the Wilder Kaiser golf region has put together its own hiking and e-bike tours.

Golfing in Kaiserwinkl

The tranquil Kaiserwinkl golf region offers a choice of four golf courses within a 15-minute drive.

The 18-hole golf clubs Kaiserwinkl Golf Kössen - Lärchenhof and Reit im Winkl and the two 9-hole golf courses Lärchenhof and Moarhof offer golfing variety at the back of the Wilder Kaiser mountain massif at a favourable price. If you travel to this golf region by car, you don't need a motorway toll sticker.

Golfing around the city of Innsbruck

Innsbruck is the capital of the Tyrol.

If you play your rounds of golf at the Mieminger Plateau Golf Park, the Seefeld-Wildmoos Golf Club, the Seefeld-Reith Golf Club or on the two golf courses of the Innsbruck-Igls Golf Club, you should definitely plan a few hours to stroll around Innsbruck. The city offers beautiful promenades, many historical sights, but also shows the modern, young lifestyle of Tyrol.
A beautiful mountain village nestled in lush green hills, with a winding road and a clear view of the distant valley and a church in the center.

Golf holidays in the Kitzbühel Alps

Not only Kitzbühel itself offers excellent golf courses, the Kitzbühel Alps golf region also has a wonderful, flat golf course on a quiet sunny plateau in the form of Westendorf Golf Club.

The relatively new Tyrolean golf course (opened in 2014) Kitzbüheler Alpen Westendorf has developed into a golfing gem. The nearby golf hotels are located in Westendorf, which was awarded the title of "Europe's most beautiful green and flowering village" by "Entente Florale Europe".

Pure relaxation with a golf holiday in Tyrol

The quality of Tyrolean golf hotels is very high.

Great golf and wellness hotels such as the Bio-Wellnesshotel Holzleiten, the Hotel Peternhof, the Hotel Wöscherhof or the Hotel Der Lärchenhof offer all the wellness and health treatments you can imagine. The golf hotels Minglers Sportalm, Hotel Der Bär or the Sportresidenz Zillertal, for example, offer exceptional gourmet experiences. The small, fine golf hotels such as the Gasteiger Jagdschlössl, the Hotel Gut Hanneshof or the bathing pond chalets of the Moarhof are unique retreats for your very personal quality time. And the views from the Tyrolean golf hotels such as the Panoramahotel Inntalerho or the Alpenhotel Kitzbühel alone activate endorphin production.

Tyrol's legendary golf hosts

Have you ever been golfing with one of the Tyrolean golf hosts, for example Hotel Schermer, Hotel Der Wiesenhof, Gartenhotel Crystal, Kosis Sports and Lifestyle Hotel or Hotel Bergland?

If so, you know the fun you can have on a round of golf in Tyrol. If not, take the next opportunity and take part in a round of golf or a golf tournament with these Tyrolean golf hosts. And if you are offered the chance to take part in a hike or a mountain breakfast, for example at Alpenhof Brixen, join in! You will go home with unforgettable impressions of your golf holiday in Tyrol.

The food on your golf holiday in Tyrol

All Tyrolean golf hotels offer excellent catering that goes far beyond the clichés such as Tyrolean Gröstl, bacon dumplings or Bretteljause.

In general, the Tyrolean golf hotels offer light, modern cuisine. Great emphasis is placed on regionality and authenticity. Much of the food comes from the hotel's own hunting and farming, for example at the Gartenhotel Crystal, the Wöscherhof or the Sportresidenz Zillertal. At the Gasteiger Jagdschlössl you can - if you're lucky - even accompany the landlord on a hunt.

Take advantage of the culinary offers at the Tyrolean golf clubs. The clubhouses of the Kitzbühel Kaps, Eichenheim and Kitzbüheler Alpen Westendorf golf clubs are well-known examples of excellent golf catering.

Golf holidays for the whole family in Tyrol

Family and golf holidays are often not so easy to reconcile.

Not all family members want to play golf. To ensure that everyone has fun, hotels such as the Lisi Family Hotel in Kitzbühel, the Panoramahotel Inntaler Hof, the Hotel Peternhof and the Lärchenhof offer a wide range of activities. And the strategic proximity to the golf course leaves plenty of time for fun together away from the rounds of golf.
