All golf clubs and golf course operators within Golf in Austria have tailored their services to visiting golfers. In all of Austria’s golf regions, you’ll find a wide variety of golf courses within a compact area.

On your golfing holiday, you can choose between completely flat courses, gently undulating courses and courses that are physically demanding or best played using a golf trolley. All the golf courses are beautifully set amidst the natural landscape. Yet, every course offers a completely different golfing and nature experience.

From all our golf hotels, you can reach at least five golf courses within an hour’s drive. In many golfing regions, the courses are even closer together. Our hotels’ partner golf courses are never more than 25 km away from the golf hotel.

There aren’t particularly many designer golf courses in Austria, as some people might be used to from golf package holidays.

Lush green golf courses – throughout the season

A golfing holiday in Austria has its climatic advantages: In spring, we combine skiing with golf; in summer, we recommend the golf courses by the lakes or the cooler courses in the mountains. It is only in the last few years that we have realised the true value of Austria’s abundance of water. Mountain streams, rivers, lakes and waterfalls accompany you on your rounds of golf and keep the fairways a fresh green well into autumn.

Indian Summer Golf

No, no!

We’re not going to get philosophical here about the differences between men’s and women’s golf. Our aim is to recommend our favourite golfing season to you. In September and October, it’s still very often possible to play a round of golf in short sleeves, and the golf courses look their very best. Early in the morning during Indian summer, it’s not just cobwebs with picturesque dewdrops that catch the eye; the fairways, too, glisten poetically in the sunlight. And the chefs at the golf hotels are falling over themselves to serve up culinary highlights sourced from the surrounding fields and woods.
